‘Don’t Dine Alone’ at Trepassey – Bringing the Community Together
Our ‘Don’t Dine Alone’ initiative at Trepassey has been a wonderful success since it first began in October last year.
The idea behind the lunches is simple — no one in our community should feel they have to eat alone. Every Tuesday, we open our doors and invite older members of the local community to join us for a free, friendly lunch and a chance to spend time with others.
Since launching the initiative, the lunches have quickly become a highlight of the week. Guests enjoy freshly prepared meals, warm conversation, and the opportunity to meet new people, while our residents love welcoming visitors into the home and sharing the experience together.
For many, the Tuesday lunches have become about far more than just food. They are a chance to build friendships, reduce loneliness, and feel part of a supportive community.
Seeing the dining room full of laughter, conversation and familiar faces each week has been incredibly rewarding for everyone involved.
We are so proud to be able to offer this initiative and look forward to welcoming many more guests in the months ahead.
If you or someone you know may benefit from joining us, our ‘Don’t Dine Alone’ lunch takes place every Tuesday at Trepassey and everyone is welcome.
